Amy began her dance training in Antioch, CA at Delta Ballet Academy with Helga Ishikata, Helen Piernik and McGary Caven. She graduated with a BFA in Dance from San Jose State University where she was under the direction of Fred Mathews and Gary Masters of the José Limon Company. During her time at SJSU she had the opportunity to work with choreographers such as Mike Esperanza, Kara Davis, Rogelio Lopez and Stacey Printz. Upon moving to NYC, Amy participated extensively in the opening and operations of Gibney Dance’s new center in Lower Manhattan while performing with Dante Brown Warehouse Dance and various modern dance productions. Currently, Amy is studying to apply to physical therapy programs and is excited to be teaching at Pittsburg Performing Arts Academy.
